Mod Sharing

Mod Sharing allows you to share Penumbra mods directly with other players through Sphene.
This feature makes it easy to ensure that everyone has the same mods applied for consistent appearances.

What It Does​

Mod Sharing enables you to:

  • Share individual Penumbra mods with paired players
  • Upload mod files directly through Sphene
  • Automatically download mods shared by other players
  • View mod sharing history and status
  • Manage which mods are shared with which players

How It Works​

When you share a mod:

  1. The mod file is uploaded to the Sphene server
  2. Paired players can download the mod automatically
  3. The mod is applied through Penumbra IPC
  4. Sharing status is tracked in the UI

When to Use It​

Mod Sharing is useful for:

  • Group Coordination: Ensure everyone in your group uses the same mods
  • Custom Gear Sharing: Share specific gear mods with friends
  • Event Preparation: Coordinate mod usage for screenshots or events
  • Testing: Share mods for testing purposes

Configuration​

You can configure mod sharing behavior in the settings:

  • Enable/disable automatic mod downloads
  • Configure upload/download priorities
  • Manage mod sharing permissions

  • Large mods may take time to upload/download
